Our Family Story
Born in Taiz in Yemen, Muna, the mother, owner and head chef, has always had a passion for cooking. Having settled in the UK a few years ago, she wanted to take the joy she finds in cooking a step further. She ultimately founded Yemen Heaven, the first and only Yemeni restaurant in York. Muna manages to bring a piece of her home to the people of York with the dishes she cooks that were taught to her by her mother and grandmother. Today, she runs the establishment with her five children.

We always love to see you in person, but even when we can't we have worked to package our meals in a way that lets you bring the quality of our meals into your home.
Seasonal, Local and Ethnic
We source our fresh ingredients from local farmers' markets, that way you can rest assured you are eating from the most fresh produce. To top it off, our spices come from Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
